NRL fans generate approximately 7,000 pieces of single-use plastic waste per game, with a worrying portion of this plastic finding its way into our waterways.

So, Greenpeace will partner with the NRL to raise awareness of the issue by polluting team logos and jerseys of the four ocean-based NRL teams.

The changes to team logos, jerseys and socials will be discreet, to show the silent, but deadly nature of ocean plastics. The conversation will be fan led through dialogue around the secretive change made to their beloved teams.

Once fans catch on, we’ll fully lean in with a full campaign roll out.
